The following
letter from my African partner, Pastor Martin, says it all. The goodness
of God was absolutely breathtaking. And to those of you who helped us,
from both Martin and I - and of course, from the Lord and all the souls
He saved - thank you...thank you...thank you!

|
|
There is no more precious or breathtaking site on the planet.
The angels
in heaven dance and rejoice
as Martin leads those in prayer who
have come forward
to receive Jesus.
All I can say is, "Praise His name!"
|
|

The buses pull up to the yard,
though it's hard to see,
shoulder
to shoulder with precious souls.
|

"Open the doors and out come
the people!"Glory to Jesus!
|
Oh sweet tears glistening on this woman's face
and dripping on to
her shirt.
She had come forward
along with all those
around her to
give her life to Jesus.
Praise His name!
|

Praying for Martin's mother.
She'd had a word from the Lord
many years earlier
that He
would send men from other
nations
to their community.
There she sat, every night,
watching the fulfillment
of that
word. I tell you, God is faithful!
|
|

In the follow-up tent,
these brand new brothers and
sisters
received prayer materials,
and their contact information
was taken
so the pastors could pay a visit.
Praise Jesus!
|
Side by side, me and Martin.
It's a scene that will undoubtedly
be played out
many more times
before all is said and done with...
And I tell you, I can't wait!
Glory to Jesus!

My dear brother,
and now
African partner, Martin.
I've just finished the message
on night three, and Martin
calls
the people to response.
|
 |
 |
This is one of the pastors who participated in the crusade.
We were worshipping and here he was just crying out to God,
falling on his knees on the cement floor.
Praise God for guys like these! |
On the final night, the Lord led us to John 13
and showed us to wash
the people's feet.
In a word, what God did was simply amazing.
Praise His name!
|
 The "passing of the baton."
Martin
hands me the microphone
to deliver the message
as the
praise team looks on from behind.
|
 Healed of asthma!
I brought him forward the next evening
to share
the testimony.
The people went
crazy with excitement
as my
interpreter looks on amazed.
Glory!
|

I will never forget sitting there in
night two,
and feeling like I would
pass out in sickness,
and just
searching the Word
with
moments before Martin called me to
the platform.
(See my Travel
Journal for the blow by blow.)
|
In the pastor's room after meeting
two,
worshipping and thanking
God
for all He had done.
Praise His name!
|
I tell you,
I never would have thought
I'd be doing this in a million years.
Is God awesome, or what?
|
 Pastor Martin...as he has been
every moment I've known him -
overflowing with the goodness
of God
and the joy of His salvation.
I tell you, I love this guy!
|
This little boy came to me for prayer.
Oh how precious a treasure
to the
living God.
"Lord, carry this child
forever
in the palm of Your holy hand."
|

I've rarely seen anything like it.
This woman hit the deck
writhing and wailing and
all I knew to do was
pray...pray...pray!
|
|

Prompted by the Lord,
we
surround Martin in prayer
going
into our final meeting.
|
 I tell you,
I just fell in love
with these African brothers.
Led by Martin (in the coat),
look how they cried out to the
Lord for me.
My goodness, it's humbling,
and as much of an
honor as it gets.
Praise Jesus!

When in a Marchiano Ministries
Crusade,
all the kiddies get
bags of candy.American partners, Sharon Reeder and
Rose Pylidis (background)
do the honors.
|
No, my car didn't break down
on
the way to the crusade - but if it
did,
I'm sure these guys would have given me a ride
on their 3-donkey
BMW.
Of course, I would have
had to sit
on top of the wood pile!
|

Yes, we love the kids.
Just look
at those beautiful smiles
and all I
can think is
"I know the plans I have
for you...
plans for a future and
a hope."
Oh how He loves these kids.
|
What can I say?
She was blind...
but now she can see!
|
"You won't be needing that cane
any more sister.
Glory to Jesus"
|
|

With the salvation response so massive,
I just broke in tears.
Pastor John held me like a father.
He just held me and held
me and both of us cried.
God is so good...
And again I say, "God is so good."
Glory to His Name! |
