not what I would like it to be. I have read
"Jesus wept" and "In the foot-steps of Jesus."
Even though I couldn't understand every word the

I
was in a Christian book store and just happened
to see the book..In the Footsteps of Jesus. I
bought and read it...and ever since God has been
doing something in my heart!! But this is the
best part.....I work in a nursing home
and thought I would how MATTHEW to them. The
resident that are alert and have good minds were
just in love with it...Our special care unit
also attended with our confused residents. As
the movie progressed the nurses and aides were
in awe of how these residents responded..They
normally would fall asleep or become
fidgety...but during the movie they were glued
to the screen.....is that not God. Glory to Him
!!!!! Thank-you!

Dear Bruce,

were so blessed by your presentation and
presence among us. It was such a joy to meet the
man who portrayed the "joyful Jesus." This past
Sunday we were overwhelmed by the power of your
interpretation of the sheep and goats passage
from the 25th chapter--it moved many to tears.

My life changed in 2000 when the doctors
discovered a tumor in brain. My current status
is good. The radiation killed a little bit of my
tumor, though I am since diagnosed
with recurrent severe depression. You don't know
how much your books and film means to me. I
thank you for letting God use you so people like
me can know there is hope despite of all the
struggles. Jesus is the Healer who is
compassionate. I know Jesus will never let go of
my hand.

Dear Bruce,
Hi! My name is
Sarah and I am 15 years old. I absolutely LOVE
Matthew. I never ever thought of Jesus
as happy until I saw your movie. It helped me
in a big way, too. Last year my grandfather was
dying. The night before he died I was really
upset about it. My uncle put on Matthew
and as I saw Jesus smiling and hugging people I
remember that He loves and cares about me, and
that He was with me and my grandpa during this
hard time. It really helped me.

I was wandering the shelves of the local bookstore
feeling very down and hurt. Life was not going any

I've read it 5 or 6 times. It literally staggered

I am so blessed to have found you through an "In
Touch," (Charles Stanley) magazine interview. 11
years ago, my new husband at that time, and I
received a set of the Matthew Tapes as a gift. It
began a transformation in our personal walk with the
Lord that has brought us to where we are now serving
Him in our own ministry. Bruce, God has used you in
a mighty way. As we speak here, there is a man
viewing Matthew who has been severly captive in the
world for a life time. And when he's finished they
will be given to an Islamic woman who is excited to
see them. "Bravo, Bravo, Bravo," great performance
for our Lords work in the earth and be sure your
Divine Destiny with Him has more precious glories
ahead than you currently are aware of. Stand Fast,
the battle is not yours but the Lords. Shalom.

Your words are so encouraging and God speaks through
them to me. Your most recent entry has really
touched my
heart. I'm sure we've all experienced the "manifest
presence of God" during worship or a sermon, but
reading your entry was the only case where I've seen
it come through written word.

I have sent an email before, but this time it is in
utter humbleness and awe about our Lord Jesus. I
have just finished reading your book, Bruce, and all
I can say is, "I need more of Jesus." I need Him as
a mother, I need Him as a business woman in this
challenging world, I need Him more in my
friendships, and I need Him more to be more like Him
and to speak about His amazing love.

Dear Bruce
When you were here ministering in 2002, you spoke
at an old age home. I'm sure you won't remember, but
a man of 77 gave his heart to the Lord that morning,
he was the only gentleman at the meeting among the
ladies. i saw him just 2 days ago--he is now 80.
He talked and talked of the Lord and the light in
his eyes confirmed the story his mouth told. I just
thought you would like to know. Much love and

Dear Bruce
I was reading your travel journal and there was a
wonderful message in it for me. You wrote that the
Lord has grand purpose for us all, and "maybe it has
to do with those two little kiddies you feed every
day..... Maybe that is what God birthed you for--to
"be Him" to them; to raise them in the fullness of
His hope for them..."
I'd often thought that I'd missed my
purpose somewhere along the line, wanting God to
"use me" in ministry. I never realized that my
children are the biggest ministry of all, and that
God IS using me, as you say "big time." Even as a
single mom, what new joy I now have, and new
perspective. Thank you for opening my eyes!
