The Bible College was actually initiated and birthed by Pastor Martin independently of Marchiano Ministries.  There were so many people responding to salvation during the crusades and needing discipling, he felt he needed to better equip his leaders with deeper understanding of The Word, and develop an arena through which more leaders could be trained.  Thus was "Word-Based Bible College" born.
 

With no personal transportation to get to the school, few learning resources at the school... it's remarkable the lengths these teachers and students go to--and all with great joy and excitement.  Strong courses and curriculum have been created, Marchiano Ministries has made a strong commitment to develop this school to its fullest potential, and we're thrilled to report that we've recently graduated our first class (photo above).  What a precious opportunity to help build the South African Christian leaders of tomorrow.  Glory to Jesus! 

When the Bible College isn't in session, the room is transformed into "Flames Business School."  The unemployment rate in South Africa is staggering, especially among young people.  99% of those who are fortunate enough to financially afford a high school education can't afford to go any further.  It takes big money to go to university/college and develop marketable skills, so effectively the kids graduate to nothing.  Truly, the hopelessness and the sense of "nowhere to go so why even try" is heart-rending. 

In response to this terrible reality, we launched "Flames Business School."  The school is equipped with 12 computers and kids are being trained in computer skills (highly marketable in SA), marketing, admin, and more.  Marginalized, "written off" young people are now being empowered and lifted.  What a breathtaking privilege for Marchiano Ministries.  Glory to Jesus!
